I’m a media specialist with over 13 years’ experience. My commitments to work and my accomplishments opens the door of opportunity for me to have academic and administrative responsibilities as well.
I earned a master’s degree in International Multimedia Journalism from Newcastle University. In 2011 I received my undergraduate degree in Television and Radio from the school of media and communication-Salahadin University.
I currently works as an assistant lecturer in Kurdistan technical institute at the department of Digital media. Currently, I'm a PhD student at the faculty of humanity in the university of Sulaimani.
Beside teaching at Kurdistan technical institution, I'm a researcher at Metro Center for journalists' right and advocacy.
Prior to my academic career, I spent 10 years as a professional journalist in several broadcast, print as well as online outlets. I hosted a news and entertainment tv show in NRT. I was assistant of editor-in chief of Rudaw digital media.
I have participated in several national and international training, program and conference. The most recent one was Study of the United States Institutes (SUSI) Programs which I studied six intensive weeks in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Arizona. I also ran training courses on Multimedia Storytelling, Mis/Dis Information and Digital Journalism.
