Professional Experience
I have built a diverse academic and professional career spanning both the United Kingdom and Kurdistan since completing my postgraduate studies in 2014. I began as a Research Assistant at my university in the UK, before returning to Kurdistan in 2018 to serve as Coordinator at the Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) Research Center. I subsequently taught Quality Control and Quality Assurance at Bakrajo Technical Institute during the 2019–2020 academic year, and worked concurrently as a part-time Visiting Lecturer at Kurdistan Technical Institute (KTI). In 2020, I joined KTI full-time as an Assistant Lecturer in the Pharmacy Department, a role I continue to hold, teaching Pharmacognosy, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry, as well as Nutrition and Diet Therapy at the Nursing Department.
Beyond teaching, I have taken on significant leadership and committee responsibilities at KTI. I currently serve as Head of the Health and Safety Committee, overseeing safety and health awareness initiatives for students and staff, and previously served on the Exam Committee during the 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 academic years. More recently, I have expanded into media and program leadership, serving as Program Director for Zanin Zone (Seasons 1 and 2) across the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 academic years, and as Director of Media and Communication for KTI during 2025–2026. Beginning in the 2026–2027 academic year, I have also taken on the role of Head of the Anesthesia Department, reflecting my growing scope of institutional leadership.
