Biography

I obtained my M.Sc. in Food Science and Biotechnology from the School of Health Sciences at Cardiff Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom in 2014, and my B.Sc. in Crop Science from the University of Sulaimani in 2011.

Since graduation, I have worked in both the United Kingdom and Kurdistan. I began my career as a Research Assistant at my university in the UK, and later, in 2018, worked as Coordinator at the Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) Research Center. During the 2019–2020 academic year, I taught in the Quality Control and Quality Assurance Department at Bakrajo Technical Institute.

I also served as a part-time Visiting Lecturer at Kurdistan Technical Institute (KTI) during 2019–2020, before joining KTI full-time as an Assistant Lecturer in the Pharmacy Department in 2020, a position I continue to hold. I currently teach Pharmacognosy, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry at the Pharmacy Department, and Nutrition and Diet Therapy at the Nursing Department.

Throughout my time at KTI, I have taken on a range of scientific, administrative, and leadership roles. I have served as Head of the Health and Safety Committee at KTI, responsible for promoting safety and health awareness among students and staff. I was a member of the Exam Committee during the 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 academic years.

In more recent years, I have expanded into media and program leadership roles at KTI. I served as Program Director for Zanin Zone (Season 1 and Season 2) during the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 academic years, and as Director of Media and Communication for KTI during the 2025–2026 academic year. Beginning in the 2026–2027 academic year, I have taken on the role of Head of the Anesthesia Department.

My current research focuses on health hazard awareness and food safety practices related to food consumption within the university community, encompassing both students and lecturers.
