1  What age can my child start at KTDA?

We offer classes starting from 2 years old in our petit program! We also cater for teens and adults - we have something for everyone!

2  How do I know which class is right for my child?

We place students based on a combination of age, ability and class chemistry. This ensures each dancer is in the best possible learning environment. Feel free to contact us for guidance or book a free trial class.

3  Do we need to commit straight away?

Not at all! We offer a free trial class so your child can experience the vibe of the class and studio before enrolling.

4  What should my child wear to class?

Comfortable, fitted dancewear is best! Each style has its own uniform guide, but new students are welcome to wear activewear to their trial classes. Once enrolled, we’ll guide you on the correct shoes and uniform for each class.
We also offer a wide and inclusive range of uniforms to ensure that every dancer feels confident and comfortable — no matter their shape, size, or personal preferences.

5  How much do classes cost?

Our fees are charged per term and vary depending on the number of classes taken. Please contact us for our current fee structure or download our info pack.

6  Do students perform in concerts?

Yes! We host an end-of-year concert that all students are welcome to be part of. It’s a fun, confidence-building experience that our dancers love.

7  Do you offer private lessons?

Yes – we offer private lessons in various styles for students who want extra support, personalised coaching, or are looking to push themselves further. Private lessons are ideal for dancers aiming to compete in local eisteddfods, prepare for performances, or work on specific goals. Contact us to discuss availability and the best coaching options for your dancer.

8. What if we miss a class?

We understand that things come up! All we ask is that you let us know as soon as possible if your child will be absent. This helps our staff be fully prepared and adjust their lesson plans if needed. While we don't guarantee make-up classes, we’ll always support your dancer’s progress in future lessons.

9  Are there opportunities to compete or perform beyond concerts?

Absolutely. We offer solo and performance team opportunities for students ready to take the stage at competitions, showcases, and local events.
