The College of Engineering and Information Technology has dramatically metamorphosed from a mere department of the then COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND ENGINEERING (CAFE), where the agricultural engineering program was first offered in 1993.
To cater to societal demands in engineering and the needs of the students who aspire to become engineers, the university offered courses such as Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering under Board Resolution Number 3, series of 1994, and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering under Board Resolution Number 536, series of 2006, and later two courses were opened, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) through Academic Council No. 7, series of 2008. The most recently offered courses in the college are Bachelor of Science in Mathematics under CMO no. 48 s. 2017 and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering under CMO no. 88 s. 2017.
