In addition to the KS Swimming Pool Rules listed below, we want to make sure our homeowners know that we follow the Delaware regulations regarding pool maintenance and operations. The following rules from the State website regarding food and drinks are to be adhered to at all times.
9.1.4 Alcoholic beverages shall be prohibited in the pool and on the pool deck.
9.1.5 Food and beverages shall be prohibited in the pool and within four (4) feet of the pool edge.
9.1.6 Glass or other breakable containers, utensils, etc. shall be prohibited within the pool fence, pool room or bathhouse facilities.
KS Swimming Pool Rules
ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS OBJECTS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED IN THE POOL AREA. If any member of the community is at the pool and observes a violation of this rule, please take the initiative to remind the person of the rule or contact the board member on the list to take care it. A broken glass item could cause the pool to be shut down for an extended period of time or cause the pool to be drained.
Trash should be deposited in receptacle provided, and recycle only in the recycling receptacle.
Each lot owner in good standing will be issued one electronic pool access card. No one without a card may be admitted to the pool.
Guests must be houseguests of Keenwick Sound residents. Please make sure your guests are aware of all pool rules.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, 18 years of age or older, and must not be left unattended.
Young children with swim aids must stay in the shallow end of the pool within arm’s reach of an adult guardian.
Children in diapers must wear “swimmer” (leak proof) diapers in pool and pool area.
Prior to entering the pool, persons should rinse off sand using the shower provided.
No running, jumping, diving, roughhousing, throwing of balls or any object, or foul language will be allowed in the pool area.
No rafts, boogie boards, or large inflatable pool toys allowed in the pool.
Umbrellas must be closed when strong winds or gusts occur. When leaving the pool area, please close any umbrella that was opened by you or your party, clean up any spills, lay lounge chairs in a flat position and push chairs around table. DO NOT MOVE ANY TABLES.
Fence climbing is not allowed whether the pool is open or closed. Anyone doing so will be restricted from using the pool for the remainder of the season.
Storm Closing Procedure – At the first sign of lightning or thunder, the pool is to be closed immediately and all occupants must leave the pool area for their own safety. The pool will remain closed at least 30 minutes following the last clap of thunder but no longer than 45 minutes after the last clap of thunder. As a safety precaution, this procedure will be followed regardless of whether it rains or not. Should thunder occur at 6pm or later, the pool will be closed for the remainder of the day.
A restroom is located inside the pool area. Please keep it clean.
In case of emergency, use the phone provided to dial 9-1-1, and then call the Board member listed as having pool duty for that day. If the on call member is not available, call any other member listed.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING OF ANY KIND IS ALLOWED INSIDE THE POOL AREA.
