Mental Health Resources

  • The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has a national helpline 1-800-985-5990, or text officials at TalkWithUs to 66746

  • The Crisis Text Line is a free text service with 24/7 support for those in crisis. Text HOME to 741741

  • The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available to provide free, 24/7 support for those in crisis and family members of loved ones in crisis. Call 1-800-273-8255

  • The Missouri Department of Mental Health has many resources for families that may be experiencing alcohol or drug abuse by a family member, mental illness, developmental disabilities, or families that are in need of crisis assistance.

  • The Trevor Lifeline is a 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention phone service for our LGBTQ+ families and individuals 1-866-488-7386

    • Text messaging is also available with a Trevor counselor; text START to 678678

    • Families/Students can also utilize TrevorChat, an online Instant Messaging service through a computer
