The instructional materials (IM) implementation guidance linked below is intended to serve as a series of high-level recommendations for districts and schools to prioritize for successful implementation of new instructional materials in any grade level or content area. Each phase in the guidance includes a high-level summary of its purpose, goals or measures of success, a shortlist of key responsibilities by role, and further key actions to support each of those role-specific responsibilities. Because of the complexity of this work, the guidance below is not meant to outline every action a team must or will take as they support materials implementation. Instead, it represents KSDE’s prioritization of a few key aspects of implementation.
