Loaner Laptop Instructions

How to Get a Loaner Laptop

1. ASK YOUR KUMU FOR A LOANER

Let your teacher know your laptop is not working and that you've gone through the options available on the HPK site.  He/she will issue you a loaner from the designated loaner card in your classroom building.

2. LOANER LOG-IN INSTRUCTIONS

Follow the instructions below in order to log into your loaner laptop.  Make sure you follow all the steps, do not skip any.

3. REPORT YOUR LAPTOP ERROR

Use the "Laptop Repair Form" to report your laptop error.  THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, make sure you fill this form our properly so that you may get your laptop repaired as quickly as possible.

Set Up Your Loaner Laptop

(if you need kōkua with this, please ask your kumu for help)

1. BACK-UP YOUR DATA

If you are able, upload any of your saved work to Google Drive.

2. LOG-IN

Log-in to your laptop using your username that starts with H.

3. GLOBAL PROTECT

Log-in to Global Protect with your username that starts wth H.

Note - if the laptop freezes at this step, or if you get a “still working” message please restart your computer and try again.

4. CONNECTED

Make sure you are connected to Global Protect.

Note - if you are not connected to Global Protect, you will not be able to access the internet at home.

5. FIND THE LAPTOP REPAIR FORM ON THE HPK WEBSITE

Visit "sites.google.com/ksbe.edu/hpk/you-need-a-loaner" once logged into your loaner.  From your loaner, access the LAPTOP REPAIR FORM right away!

6. COMPLETE THE LAPTOP REPAIR FORM

This step is very important after receiving your loaner!
