Qualified students will earn an Associate of Arts degree from Arizona State University within four years. Courses are asynchronous and self-paced. Our Assistant Principal, Dr. Lisa Correa, will facilitate the registration and enrollment process with ASU. Your grade level Dean will support you in the registration and enrollment process with Kamehameha Schools, as well as academic counseling and advising. To be eligible for this program:
● Haumāna must be scheduled to enter grade 9 in the Fall semester.
● Geometry to be taken in grade 9.
● Haumāna must have a current GPA of 3.0 and above; an additional review will be conducted by HS administration if the GPA is below 3.0.
● Obtain an administrative recommendation and an academic Dean referral.
● Haumāna is in good behavioral standing, meaning no incidents of conduct violations, behavioral record(s), or chronic unexcused absences. This includes referrals for the current school year that have been reviewed by the student’s dean or Māhele Luna administrator.
● Haumāna complete and be on-track (“in-progress”) to complete the minimum requirements for graduation; or haumanā have met, exceeded, and/or fulfilled the minimum elective credit requirement at KSM.
Universal Learner Courses (ULC) are designed for students who want to gain an online college experience by enrolling in college courses while still in high school.
Courses are asynchronous and either session-based or self-paced. Our Assistant Principal will help students register, enroll, and support them throughout the course, along with the campus administration and grade-level academic dean.
