King Rajabhat University, located at 70 Moo 4, Phu Phra Village, Nong Bua Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province, is about 14 km north of Kanchanaburi city. The campus, which spans 542 rai, is situated on a hillside surrounded by lush trees, rocky areas, and borders the Kwai Yai River.
The university began as Kanchanaburi Teacher Training College, founded on September 29, 1973. It later evolved under the 1975 Teacher College Act, offering various disciplines in education. Over time, new faculties were established, such as Science and Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Management Science.
In 1992, the institution was renamed "Rajabhat Institute" by Royal Decree, and later became King Rajabhat University on June 15, 2004. The university has since expanded its offerings and collaborations, including academic partnerships with local government and foreign institutions. Today, it offers 34 degree programs.
