Krewe of Comogo Parade Route Decorating Contest

Contest information:

1. Participation is open to all residents along the Krewe of Comogo parade route. (See attached map)

2. Entry is free, no cost or fees apply.

3. Krewe of Comogo board members are not eligible to participate.

4. The contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows visible from the exterior. Judging will be done from outside the residence only.

5. Judging will be based on “curb appeal” as viewed from the street only. Therefore, only those decorations on the street side of the property will be judged (corner lots will be judged from both streets). Judges will not enter the property to view back or side yards.

6. Participants agree to have their names posted on social media pages.

7. Participants agree to have one or more photos of their decorated residence exterior posted on social media sites. Pictures may also be published in other social media outlets, local media publications, or websites. Participants agree there will be no compensation for said posting or publication.

8. One prize will be awarded.

9. Judging criteria will include [a] Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations; [b]  Display and placement of decorations; and [d] Overall presentation.

10. Judging will be done from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12. We will also view homes during the day.

11. Participants should ensure all lights and decorations are in place and activated for the judging period.

12. Winners will be notified by email or telephone after February 26th.

13. We will announce the winning homes on Sunday, February 15th  via our social media sites.

          Be creative, be festive, and have fun.  Winner receives $100!
