Co-Producer - Director - Choreographer - Voice Over
Dominic is a father, husband, son, brother, dancer, educator, and entrepreneur from Akron, Ohio. He started exploring dance at 3 years old tagging along with his sister to class. He started taking his dance training more seriously around middle school attending Akron's Performing Arts Middle School and continuing his education at Firestone High School (Akron's School for the Arts). At 16 he met and started studying under Garth Fagan.
Dominic almost found himself traveling an entirely different career path as a professional soccer player. It was during college while playing for University of Akron's soccer team he decided that dance was where he saw his future. This was when he found Inlet Dance Theatre online and began studying under Bill Wade.
It was under Wade's guidance that Dominic spearheaded the "Black Card Project." After performing for 10 seasons and working as Assistand Artistic Director for Inlet Dance Theatre, he left upon the birth of his first child, Dominic has dove into both activism and storytelling in his work as an artist. He considers his style of choreography to be "Urban Midwest Storytelling" and has several works including "The Remember Balloons." He also has a bi-montly blog "The Block" that explores his artwork, his life, and experiences as a black man in the midwest.
