We use Straka Meats out of Plain for our processing. They do a fantastic job! If this is your first time ordering, they will graciously walk you through the process.
That's the real question here, right? 😉
Beef is priced by hanging weight. "Hanging weight" refers to the weight of the steer after it is slaughtered and before it is processed.
Krayer Farms averages anywhere between 700-800 lbs hanging weight. At $4.00 per lb. You would pay Krayer Farms. $2,800-$3,200 for a whole steer, $1,400-$1,600 for 1/2 steer (350-400 lbs) and $700-$800 for 1/4 steer weighing (175-200 lbs). You will then pay for processing directly to Straka Meats.
We are currently selling 1/4 beef, half beef or whole.
If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please contact us. A deposit will be required.
