Active for Life
To develop as a sport leader, students build their skills in a variety of sport leadership roles through practical experience and certifications (e.g., coach, referee, manager, convenor, trainer).

Healthy Active Living
The healthy active living course offers a variety of team and individual sports and activities, including bowling, golf, field and indoor games. The female-only course also includes yoga, zumba, cyclefit, and opportunities in the community to visit a variety of active ways to stay fit for life. Students in this course learn about effective communication, stress management, building mentally healthy individuals, along with developing leadership by offering opportunities to lead others within the classroom and organizing and overseeing the Adam Scott intramural program.
This course is offered as a co-ed or female only option.

Healthy Active Living
This team-taught healthy active living course offers a variety of team and individual sports and activities. This course enables students to further develop the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices. It places special emphasis on how students can maintain the habits of healthy, active living throughout their lives as they make the transition to adulthood and independent living. Activity units allow students the ability to choose their own activity each week. Activities we offer in the community in this co-ed course include golfing, squash, ice hockey, bowling, tennis, yoga, billiards, swimming, and visits to various fitness centers. Students are able to develop leadership and communication skills by having the opportunity to lead community and elementary programs with our feeder schools.

Introduction to Kinesiology
This course focuses on the study of human movement and of systems, factors, and principles involved in human development. Students will learn about the effects of physical activity on health and performance, the evolution of physical activity and sports, and the factors that influence an individual’s participation in physical activity. The course prepares students for university programs in physical education, kinesiology, recreation, and sports administration.
