Attention Students -

This is your final chance to turn in all assignments and missing work as teachers will be finalizing your grades based on what you have achieved. Don't miss out on this final opportunity to turn in quality work. There are some of you who will be working hard this weekend. Remember, quality is equally important as quantity. Don't just turn it in because you are trying to get it in, produce and create quality work so that it represents your best effort.

Putting in the Effort

Students, we are in the final month of school. We have exams, projects, reports, and other assessments to be working on. We all need to finish strong and do our best to get through COVID and school.

Some of you are still not consistent with going to class, staying in class, and participating in class. This will affect your overall grade if you don't increase your effort now. Take the time this weekend to look at Powerschool and see where you can improve, its not like you can go anywhere, so do something to help yourself. Do it now before its too late. Only 1 more month to go, so together, let's put in the effort!

Good Luck to all of our students who will be taking their AP Exams

L.A. Project - Leads to Charity Fund-raiser

Siddharth and Saahil are conducting a Hidden Figures T-Shirt Fund-raiser where all proceeds will be donated to charity. Here's the background from their words:

This was initially our LA project but as it turns out this became a much bigger project than intended. Our initial project was to conduct deep research on the topic of racism in the scientific industry. We came across these hidden figures who were not given the credit they rightfully deserved.

We decided to take this project one step further to spread awareness within our community whilst raising money for the National Black Child Development Institute by selling t-shirts and hoodies with our QR embedded within the design. The QR code on the shirts and hoodies lead to our Google Sites that we have created for the viewers to learn more about. We have attached the poster. If you want to learn more information about the charity please go to https://www.nbcdi.org/

Parent Teacher Conferences - Next Week

Students, please take time to reflect on your learning progress and prepare for the Parent Teacher Conferences. Anticipate what your parents will want to know and be ready to provide evidence. This is a time to discuss something in class you did well and something in class that was challenging. Be honest and truthful about your behavior and know that your teachers are there to help always. So celebrate, reflect, regroup because we still have time for you to finish strong!
