The 92nd Street Park Stewards are requesting art submissions to create meaningful and reflective artwork for a dedicated section of the park known as Memorial Garden. This space honors the white cross that once stood on the western side of Beach Street where the park will be located, a symbol of deep significance to the surrounding community. To preserve its legacy, the contest invites submissions that align with themes of peace, remembrance, or tribute to victims of gun violence.

Submissions must be original artworks created specifically for this contest.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not permitted.
Artists may use a variety of mediums, but final products should be able to be submitted digitally.
Artwork should be respectful and foster a space for reflection and healing.
Due to technical limitations, artwork may not be able to be replicated exactly. Submitting artists grant the use of their art in varied formats and compositions.
Submission Period: Deadline to submit: April 14, 2025 (UPDATE: Extended to May 22nd, 2025)
Review & Selection Process:
A selection group will review all entries to ensure they are appropriate and align with the themes of peace, remembrance, or tribute to victims of gun violence.Â
Once all selections are reviewed, a community vote day will take place (Date and Time TBD).
Art Unveiling and Celebration:
The final art selections will be unveiled at a community celebration in August.
