Frequently Asked Questions

Please try pressing and holding the power button on the Chromebook for approximately 10 seconds. Additionally, you can perform a "hard reset". Press and hold the refresh button, located above the number 4. While holding, press the side power button. Release the power button and keep holding refresh. If this succeeds, you should see the comptuer restart in a few seconds.  If this does not resolve the issuem, please report this problem using the KOSD Student Technology Work Request form or to the classroom teacher to get assistance. 

Type into your browser Classroom.Google.com and then enter your student's KOSD user account and password into the login screen. You can also access by logging into the launchpad.classlink.com/kosd and clicking "Google Classroom"

Login first to launchpad.classlink.com/kosd using your district username and password.  It is the same username and password that they use to log onto district computers for chromebooks.  It is generally first initial, last name the letters ko and then the last 2 digits of their graduation year (example - asmithko20).  Their password is ko and then their student ID or lunch number with no spaces (example - ko123456) or may have been changed for students in grades 6-12.  If your student still cannot get logged on please reach out to their classroom teacher.

Please either report this problem to your teacher or use the KOSD Student Technology Request Form.  Please provide as much information as possible such as Google Classroom Name, Assignment Name and Due Date of Assignment.

Click on "Forgot your old password?" and then click on "Proceed anyway"

Click the circle in the bottom left of a Chromebook and search “camera”.  Use the Camera app to record a video or take a picture.  To add this video or picture open the assignment in Google Classroom and click “Add or Create”.  Choose “File” and choose “select files from your device”.  Video recordings on Chromebooks default to the “downloads” folder so your video should be there unless the student moved the recording.  Then it may be in their Google Drive.
