Dr. Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Graduate Program
Dr. Lee Jong-wook Fellowship program is a global training program that provides customized training, pre-training, and post-management to the healthcare workforce by reflecting their needs based on mid- to long-term training strategies according to the characteristics of each country.
It aims to (1) strengthen the medical capabilities of healthcare personnel in partner countries through systematic and practical education, (2) contribute to the improvement of healthcare standards in partner countries, and (3) enhance international recognition of Korea's excellent healthcare system.
Under these goals, from 2007 to 2023, the program has trained 1,500 healthcare personnel from 30 developing countries.
Starting in 2024, Korea University College of Nursing and College of Medicine are operating the Dr. Lee Jong-wook Fellowship graduate degree program: nursing, medical education, and basic medical science.
Dr. Lee Jong-wook
Dr. Lee Jong-wook was the 6th Director-General of the World Health Organization. He was the first Korean to lead an international organization and devoted his all life to improving global health.
