   3. 본 논문은 실시간 무인기(UAV) 탐지 및 위치 추정 기술 개발을 목표로, RGB, 적외선(IR), 자외선(UV), LiDAR, RADAR 데이터를 포함한 다중센서 기반 시맨틱 세분화 및 측위 모델을 제안함. UAV의 산업적 확산과 함께 보안 위협이 증가함에 따라, 기존 객체 탐지 방식의 한계를 극복하고자 픽셀 단위의 정밀 위치 예측이 가능한 의미론적 분할 기법을 적용함. 특히 IR 및 가시광(VL) 영상 기반의 총 605,045쌍으로 구성된 대규모 UAV 세분화 데이터셋을 새롭게 구축하고, 다양한 출처의 데이터를 통합하여 객체 다양성과 모델 강인성을 확보함. 또한 실시간 처리와 경량화를 고려한 딥러닝 기반 플랫폼을 구현하여, 실제 환경에서의 멀티모달 데이터 융합을 통해 높은 적용성과 기술 신뢰도를 입증함. 본 기술은 스마트 전장 환경과 자율 방어 시스템 등 국방·보안 분야에 폭넓게 활용 가능하며, 연구 성과의 학술적·산업적 파급력 또한 매우 높음.  
   4. This study proposes a real-time UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) detection and localization model based on multi-sensor semantic segmentation and positioning. To address the growing security threats associated with the widespread industrial use of UAVs, the proposed method integrates pixel-level semantic segmentation to overcome the limitations of traditional object detection approaches. The model leverages data from various sensors including RGB, infrared (IR), ultraviolet (UV), LiDAR, and RADAR to achieve robust and accurate UAV recognition across diverse environmental conditions. A large-scale UAV segmentation dataset comprising 605,045 paired IR and visible light (VL) images was newly constructed, enhancing the model’s generalizability and resilience by incorporating diverse object types and sources. Furthermore, a lightweight deep learning framework was implemented to support real-time processing, demonstrating high applicability and reliability in practical environments through multimodal sensor fusion. The proposed technology has significant potential for deployment in defense and security domains such as smart battlefields and autonomous threat response systems. The academic and industrial impact of this research is considered highly substantial.
   5. 본 연구는 UAV의 실시간 탐지 및 정밀 위치 추정을 위해 다중센서 기반 의미론적 세분화 모델에 에이전트 AI 개념을 접목하여, 기존 객체 탐지 방식의 한계를 극복하였다. RGB, IR, UV, LiDAR, RADAR 등 다양한 센서 데이터를 융합하고, IR 및 가시광 영상 기반 60만 쌍 이상의 대규모 세분화 데이터셋을 구축함으로써 다양한 환경에서의 탐지 성능과 모델 강인성을 확보하였다. 특히, 자율적 판단과 환경 대응이 가능한 에이전트 AI 구조를 기반으로, 실시간 상황인지 및 추론이 가능한 경량형 딥러닝 플랫폼을 구현하여 실제 환경에서도 높은 적용성과 신뢰성을 입증하였다. 본 기술은 교육연구단이 추구하는 이기종 융합, 실시간 지능형 시스템, 자율형 인공지능 구현과 정합성을 이루며, 스마트 국방, 도심항공교통(UAM), 자율보안 등 고신뢰 응용 분야에 높은 파급력과 실용성을 갖춘다. 연구단의 인재 양성 및 기술 실증 기반 구축에도 크게 기여할 수 있다.
2. Deep Learning-Based Lightweight LiDAR and Fisheye Camera Online Extrinsic Calibration

   3. 본 논문은 자율주행 환경에서의 정밀한 센서 융합을 위해, LiDAR와 어안(Fisheye) 카메라를 통합한 경량 딥러닝 기반 외부 캘리브레이션 모델을 제안함. 최근 자율주행 기술의 발전에 따라 복수 센서를 활용한 정밀 인식 및 의사결정 지원이 중요해지고 있으며, 특히 어안 카메라는 최대 180°에 달하는 넓은 시야각(Field-of-View)을 제공함으로써 자율주행 시스템에 적합한 장점을 가짐. 본 연구는 실환경(real-world environments)을 고려하여 센서 간 공간 정렬을 자동 수행할 수 있는 경량 신경망 구조를 설계하였으며, 모델은 실시간 적용이 가능하도록 최적화됨. 실험 결과, 제안된 모델은 X, Y, Z 축 평균 이동 오차가 각각 1.375 cm, 0.753 cm, 1.208 cm, roll, pitch, yaw 회전 오차는 0.171°, 0.150°, 0.089°로 측정되어 높은 정밀도와 신뢰성을 입증함. 이러한 성과는 복잡한 주행 환경에서도 센서 간 정밀 보정을 통해 자율주행 차량의 환경 인식 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 보여주며, 향후 다양한 자율주행 응용에 폭넓게 활용될 수 있는 기반 기술로 평가됨. 
   4. This paper proposes a lightweight deep learning-based extrinsic calibration model that integrates LiDAR and fisheye cameras to enable precise sensor fusion in autonomous driving environments. As autonomous vehicle technologies advance, the need for accurate multi-sensor perception and decision-making support is increasing. Fisheye cameras, in particular, offer a wide field of view (up to 180°), making them highly suitable for autonomous systems. To address the challenges of real-world environments, we design a compact neural architecture capable of automatically aligning spatial relationships between sensors. The model is optimized for real-time execution and practical deployment. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model achieves average translational errors of 1.375 cm, 0.753 cm, and 1.208 cm along the X, Y, and Z axes, respectively, and rotational errors of 0.171°, 0.150°, and 0.089° in roll, pitch, and yaw. These results verify the model’s high precision and reliability. This work shows that precise sensor calibration can significantly enhance environmental perception in complex driving scenarios. It is expected to serve as a foundational technology for various autonomous driving applications in the future.
3. Lightweight LiDAR—Camera Online Extrinsic Calibration with Multi-Dilation Encoder Blocks

   3. 본 논문은 자율주행, 로봇, 스마트 인프라 등 다양한 분야에서 필수적인 카메라–LiDAR 기반 다중센서 시스템의 정밀 외부 캘리브레이션(extrinsic calibration) 기술을 다룬 연구로, 타겟 없는 경량 딥러닝 기반 LiDAR–카메라 캘리브레이션 네트워크를 제안함. 제안된 모델은 약 400만 개의 파라미터만으로 구성되어 실시간 적용이 가능하며, CNN 기반 다중 팽창(dilation) 인코더 블록을 활용해 희소한 LiDAR 깊이 이미지를 효과적으로 처리하고 다중 스케일 특징 추출을 통해 고정밀 보정 성능을 달성함. 실험 결과, 본 모델은 X, Y, Z 축 위치 오차가 각각 1.08 cm, 0.18 cm, 0.56 cm, roll, pitch, yaw 회전 오차가 각각 0.182°, 0.139°, 0.141° 수준으로 우수한 정밀도를 보임. one-shot 기반 자동 캘리브레이션 구조를 통해 자율주행 환경에 즉시 적용 가능한 실용성과 확장성을 확보함. 이 연구는 LiDAR–카메라 간의 신뢰성 높은 센서 융합(sensor fusion)을 가능하게 하며, 자율주행 차량의 환경 인식(perception) 성능 향상에 실질적으로 기여할 수 있음을 입증함. 
   4. This study addresses extrinsic calibration of LiDAR–camera multi-sensor systems, which is essential for a wide range of applications including autonomous driving, robotics, and smart infrastructure. We propose a targetless, lightweight deep learning-based calibration network designed for LiDAR–camera systems. The model consists of approximately 4 million parameters, enabling real-time deployment, and incorporates a convolutional encoder block with multiple dilation rates to effectively handle sparse LiDAR depth images and extract multi-scale features for accurate calibration. Experimental results demonstrate the model’s high precision, with average translational errors of 1.08 cm (X), 0.18 cm (Y), and 0.56 cm (Z), and rotational errors of 0.182°, 0.139°, and 0.141° for roll, pitch, and yaw, respectively. The proposed one-shot calibration framework offers practical applicability and scalability for real-world autonomous systems. This research enables robust sensor fusion between LiDAR and cameras, and contributes to enhanced perception accuracy in autonomous vehicles by providing a reliable and efficient calibration method.

       1. 본 특허의 인공지능 기반 기상환경 적응형 교통 유동량 예측 장치는 Agent AI와 연동되어 기상 정보와 교통 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하고 이를 분석하여 교통 유동량을 자율적으로 예측하는 고도화된 기능을 수행함. Agent AI는 기상 변화, 도로 상황, 교통 밀집도 등 다양한 외부 환경의 변화를 스스로 인식하고, 예측 모델을 지속적으로 학습하며 자동으로 업데이트함으로써 변화하는 조건에 능동적으로 대응함. 이러한 기능을 통해 교통 흐름을 실시간으로 제어하고 경로 안내를 최적화하여, 교통 혼잡 완화, 사고 예방, 에너지 절약, 이동 시간 단축 등 실질적인 효과를 제공할 수 있음. 본 장치는 돌발적인 기상 악화나 예기치 못한 교통 상황 변화에도 유연하게 대응할 수 있는 인공지능 기반 알고리즘을 탑재하고 있으며, 고도의 자율성과 적응성을 바탕으로 스마트시티 및 지능형교통시스템(ITS)에 최적화되어 있어서 더 안전하고 효율적인 도시 교통 환경 조성에 기여할 수 있는 핵심 기술로 평가됨.
