As a teacher, you can control the accessibility of Brain Games for your students.
To do so, the the class must first be linked to your teacher account (see below)
Once linked, click Activities from top navigation menu to see the settings.
Check Student's Login ID
With a teacher account, you can look up the login IDs of all student accountsregistered under the school.
After logging into your teacher account, click 'Class & Group' on the left sidebar navigation.
Click on any class linked to your account and you'll see the full listing ofstudents in the class.
The login ID reflected in the student listing will be the current login IDs, which may differ from the previous login IDs. Hence, please inform the students to use the current login ID whenever they log into their KooBits account.
You can create your own teaching groups alongside standard or banded classes via your teacher account.
To do so, please follow these steps:
1. After logging in, click on User & Group from the left sidebar navigation.
2. Then, click Create a New Group under My Groups.
3. Next, enter aunique Group Name, then choose Class and select student(s)* to Add or Add Entire Class. Lastly, click Create to finalize the group creation.
* The grade level of the group will be determined by grade level of the last student added to the group before the group is created.
Any further editing of the group after the initial group creation will not affect its grade level.
4. You can also Edit the groups you created or Delete any groups if you have admin rights**.
** Please contact us if you need admin rights to manage groups in your school.
Each teacher has one demo student account to preview how it looks like from the student's perspective.
To use your student demo account, you can click on the 'Switch to Student' button at the bottom left after logging into your teacher's account.
To assign homework to your own demo student account, look for a class named like '1-TrStu' which is the class your demo student account belongs to. You need to switch to demo student account at least once before assigning any homework to it.
In your demo student account, you can always click 'Switch to Teacher' button at bottom left to return to your teacher account.
Resetting Password for Students
As a teacher, you can reset any student account's password in the school.
After logging into in your teacher account, click 'Class & Group'from the left sidebar.
Click on any class linked to your account and you'll see the full list of all students in that class.
You'll see the students' actual password if it has never been changed by default. Once changed, the password will be masked, and you can click RESET to reset its password.
Please note that, by clicking RESET link, password willreset to reflect exactly the same as login ID, as shown on the page.
Linking Classes to your Teacher Account
Linking you account to a specific class will be essential so that you can view different classes' progress and homework performance.
You can do so by following these steps:
1. After logging in, click Class & Group from the left sidebar navigation.
2. Then click on theLink Class button.
3. From the full class list in the school, select any class and click 'Link Class' to confirm.
Please note that only classes within the same level can be linked at one time.
4. All linked classes will then be shown on the page.
