DEPARTMENT OF FOOD TECHNOLOGY
Department of Food Technology is offering B.Tech in Food Technology from 2006 onwards and M.Tech in Food Technology from 2013 onwards. The department is having full fledged laboratory facilities including high and analytical instruments like HPLC to provide the students hands on experience and also for the conduction of research and development. The department consistently maintains good placement in leading food industries like ITC, Parle Agro, Hatsun Agro Pvt Ltd, Cavinkare Pvt Ltd, etc. MOU signed with various industries and Institutes/Universities including SKM Egg Private Limited, Vinu Foods, Angel Starch, AMUL, Ivory Gull Candy Company, Haddington wines and Whisky and Green Collar Agro Tech. The department is offering testing and consultancy services in the areas like New Product Development, Shelf life studies, Implementation of Quality Assurance, Process Know-hows, Quality & Safety Training , Texture Profile Analysis, Color Analysis, HPLC, Water Analysis and other high end facilities. Students were awarded with many prizes and awards for poster, paper and project presentations at reputed Institutions/Professional bodies all over India like IIT,NIT, TNAU, AFSTI etc,...

Food Technology Association (FTA) is a department club established in the year 2009 to promote the technical skills of the budding food technologists.The main objective of FTA is to encourage and advance knowledge based on various aspects of Food Technology by organizing National level Technical Symposiums and lectures. The association recognizes talent and excellence in the profession of Food Technology by conferring various Awards. The Food Technology Association joins hands with the Food Quiz Forum and conducts various events every year.
