"예술은 진실을 드러내는 거짓이다." – 파블로 피카소
피카소가 언급한 ‘진실을 드러내는 거짓’은 디지털 스캔을 통해 물리적 객체를 가상 공간에 재현하는 작업과 맞닿아 있습니다. 포토그래메트리 기술은 눈에 보이는 현실을 복제하지만, 그것은 현실의 단순한 재현을 넘어 새로운 차원의 진실을 드러냅니다. 이는 물리적 객체가 시간과 공간을 초월해 재해석되는 순간, 예술은 그 자체로 '진실'을 구현하는 동시에 그 이면에 숨겨진 본질을 조명하게 됩니다. "Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth." – Pablo Picasso
Drawing from Picasso's words, the artist explores the boundary between art and reality, the virtual and the tangible, through photogrammetry technology. Picasso's notion of a "lie that makes us realize the truth" resonates with the act of digitally scanning physical objects and reproducing them in a virtual space. While photogrammetry captures the visible reality, it transcends mere replication to unveil a deeper truth. In the moment when a physical object is reinterpreted beyond its original time and space, art reveals both the "truth" within itself and the essence hidden beneath the surface.
