Mrs. Ryan - 3rd Grade
Welcome to the world of Literacy! In third grade, I teach together in a platooning team with Mr. Michael Meeker, who teaches math and science, while I instruct reading, writing, and social studies.
While we both seek to facilitate learning in many ways, it is exciting for me to be able to focus on encouraging your child to explore our world through literacy, and become eager, and curious learners. It is my goal and passion that throughout our year together, students will find, or strengthen, their love of and curiosity in reading. Thank you for allowing me to grow alongside your child in their literacy journey this year!
Below are many resources that we use regularly in the classroom throughout the year. Students are familiar with using, and accessing, the online resources through their Clever school account. These resources are used to enhance student learning through levels from intervention practice to enrichment opportunities, to support students in their literacy learning.
Other resources included below are to support students in their reading practice at home. These resources include choosing a "just right" book, reading trackers, comprehension questions, word decoding strategies, writing about reading prompts, creative writing ideas.
