Welcome!
Mrs. Ryan - 3rd Grade
Welcome! My name is Caroline Ryan, and I am a 3rd grade teacher here at KMES. I look forward to working together to be the best we can be this year. Third grade is all about understanding and practicing independence, taking ownership of our learning, and growing together as a team. I want to share a little bit about myself so that you can get to know me, and I cannot wait to learn more about you too.
I am a cheesehead! I grew up in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin (on the peninsula of Door County). Yes, I am a Packer fan.
I moved to Minnesota to attend the University of St. Thomas (Go Tommies!) for college where I attained a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and STEM.
This will be my seventh year teaching (all in third grade); Fifth year teaching at KM.
I got married to my husband, Trey, two summers ago! Some of you may still know me as Miss Miller, but now I am Mrs. Ryan.
These are a few of my favorite things - sweet treats, exploring new places & trying new things, pure barre, reading, boating, and cooking & baking.
This year your child will split their day equally between two third grade teachers. Mr. Meeker will be your child's math and science teacher and Mrs. Ryan will be your child's reading and social studies teacher. Your child will have a homeroom teacher, Meeker or Ryan, but please know that we work together, as a team, to provide the best learning experience possible.
All general questions and communication can be directed to your child's homeroom teacher throughout the year. If you have a specific question or concern about math or science, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Meeker by email at m.meeker@komets.k12.mn.us. Likewise, if you have a question or concern about reading or social studies, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Ryan by email at c.ryan@komets.k12.mn.us.
We both look forward to building a strong relationship with your child and seeing them learn and grow! We work together to create an engaging and fun learning environment where students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, take risks as an opportunity for growth, and learn from their mistakes. We are very excited to welcome you to 3rd grade and are looking forward to being your teachers this year!
