K-M Community Fitness Center does have a no cost hold, or a freeze membership option for members. General rules for holding your account follow:
Your account must be in good standing to utilize the membership hold. To be in good standing, your account must be paid in full each month and you must have a valid credit card on file.
You can hold your account with no penalty for up to three months. Exceptions to the three month time period can be made in special circumstances including of medical issues, family-life or work changes, or other circumstances agreed upon by the K-M Community Education Fitness Center Coordinator and the member.
If you decide to hold your membership in the first 12 months of your contract, the three month hold will be extended to your contract three months. Therefore, if you cancel your membership in the first 15 months of your join date, the member will be responsible for the cancellation fee of $50.
Your fitness center access card will be turned off during your hold period.
If your hold request is received less than five business days prior to your scheduled monthly payment date, you can expect that payment to process on schedule and will not be refunded.
After your three month hold, your credit card will be automatically charged to restart your membership.
Your key card will be turned back on within 5 business days of your restart date.
