The purpose of ECFE programs is to provide parenting education and support young children' learning and development. Traditional models offer a licensed Parent Educator and a licensed Early Childhood Teacher along with support staff to provide services to parents and children, other relatives of these children, and expectant parents. Serves children age 0 to 4.
Kasson-Mantorville's ECFE program is a parent and child program - a place for parents and their children from infancy to kindergarten enrollment. Our classes are built on the belief that parents are their children's first and most important teachers. The focus of the program is to support and strengthen families in raising their children. We are always happy to assist you with your parenting questions, feel free to call us at 507-634-4464.
ECFE classes are held in the Community Education Building located at 606 16th St NE, Kasson. No family will be denied participation due to inability to pay. Ask about our sliding fee schedule.

Children learn concepts necessary to succeed in school, including age-appropriate literacy, math, and critical thinking skills. They make music, create things, and gain physical dexterity. They are empowered to work independently and in groups. Through dramatic play and skill practice, they explore careers which plants ideas for a child’s future.

Verbal interactions with adults are major predictors of how prepared children will be to succeed in school.
Reading regularly with young children stimulates optimal patterns of brain development and strengthens parent-child relationships at a critical time in child development, which in turn, builds language, literacy, and social-emotional skills that last a lifetime.
