Referral for School Counseling Services

988 has been designated as the three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.  

Crisis line 920-459-3151 is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. 

Teachers, administrators, or parents can refer students for individual counseling services.  Students often will seek out the counselor (self-refer) when they realize they need help or support.  All referrals, as well as counseling sessions, are considered confidential.  Students are told, "What you say in here, stays in here, unless someone is hurting you, you want to hurt someone or you want to hurt yourself."  *Confidentiality shall NOT be maintained where there is: a reason to suspect the occurrence of child abuse or neglect; a clear threat to do serious bodily harm to self and/or others; or where a court intervenes under court order.
