Join educators, students, and leaders from across Southwestern Pennsylvania (SWPA) for a one-day summit dedicated to advancing personalized, learner-centered education.
The PL Working Group, guided by regional education leaders from school districts across SWPA, developed the Personalized Learning Framework and a set of supporting Educator Competencies to anchor this work. This year, the summit deepens its focus on leveraging Pennsylvania policy flexibilities, as outlined in the PA Innovation Guide, to accelerate innovation and drive coherent, systems-level transformation across the region. Sessions will align with the key elements of the framework while spotlighting actionable strategies for moving from vision to implementation within existing policy structures.

The Personalized Learning Framework defines the core elements required to design learner-centered systems that are rigorous, relevant, and equitable. It articulates the interconnected conditions, learner relationships, flexible environments, relevant experiences, demonstration of learning, equitable supports, and empowered learners, that must be intentionally designed to move from isolated innovation to systemic transformation across schools and districts.
