Learning Approach
A purchased and licensed copy of the appropriate ISO Standard(s) is a prerequisite for participation in all the Standards education programs. These Standards may be purchased individually beforehand, or through Knowledge Associates. Continual reference is made to the Standard sections and requirements throughout the programs.
Established learning theory, and the latest knowledge retention research, has enabled Knowledge Associates to develop each module to contain the following components:
1. A short video lecture introducing new concepts for around 5 minutes maximum duration, per topic
2. A short video lecture or case study for 3/5 minutes maximum, presenting a practical example of the successful application of the topic
3. A facilitated discussion with participants for Q&A’s and to dive deeper into the topic (classroom or online videoconferencing)
4. Completion of a practical online assignment and assessment for a group of topics on the ‘Knowledger’ cloud learning platform
5. Coaching, mentoring and support, as needed (classroom or online videoconferencing)
All video’s, case studies, frameworks, assessments and maturity models, assignments, essential KM tools and reference materials are accessed on the Knowledger learning platform.
All facilitated discussions, coaching, mentoring and support are provided in classroom and/or online Knowledger team learning and virtual collaboration spaces.
Durations
The above modules can be delivered as a
- senior management briefing (1 - 2 hours maximum)
-
- one day KM seminar or
- two days KM workshop, with deeper discussion and practical application, using the Knowledger learning platform or
- a series of online modules, comprising video lectures, case studies, assessments, frameworks, KM processes, tools, assignments, further references, team videoconferencing sessions for virtual collaborative learning, teamwork, online coaching and mentoring
- a blended and/or customized combination of the above classroom and online modules
