About the Teacher

This is my 5th year teaching ELA at KNHS! I have taught several different courses over the years. I love getting to know my students and nerding out with them over stories.

I graduated from UCM with a major in Secondary English Education and a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

My pronouns are she/her. I am a natural redhead. I'm a Hufflepuff. I'm a perfectionist and a procrastinator. I like being creative. I love cats, the fall, pineapple on pizza, 80s music, good books, musical theater, chocolate, sushi, candles, travel, board games, binge-worthy TV shows, Instagram, and Christmas.

My usual orders:

• Coffee Sknobs: lavender, honey, mint latte

• B&G Scoops: caramel mocha latte

• Old Drum: spiced brown sugar latte

• Starbucks: white chocolate mocha (or pink drink)

• Go-Go Bean: sugar & spice latte

• Home: Folgers w/ Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce creamer

This is my cat, Lily. I've had her for about 7 years, and I'm obsessed with her. She is fat and cute and loves to snuggle. She makes regular appearances on my Instagram stories.

I have 1 brother named Zach, and he is way cooler than me. He is 3 years younger than me and has a dog named Levon. We like to nerd out together over books, music, movies, TV shows, and current events. He lives in Omaha, NE, and is a film creator.

I graduated from Warrensburg High School. Back then, I participated in all the show choir and musical theater. I also competed on our varsity swim team. My favorite subjects were English and choir. My least favorite subject was science. I knew by my sophomore year that I wanted to be an English teacher. In my senior yearbook, I was voted Most Musical.
