Design Thinking is a specific strategy to developing solutions for real world problems by: 1) empathizing about a problem, 2 defining the problem, 3) ideating about solutions to the problem, 4) prototyping solutions, and 5) testing a prototype.
STEAM is one way to practice design thinking to develop creative & critical thinkers. STEAM combines Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics to guide student inquiry and critical thinking to solve problems.
