Shane Peterson - Varsity Head Coach
Philosophy: To provide a fun environment that is enriching for the athletes yet challenging, readying them for the competition on the court and throughout life.
Starting the ninth season at Kettle Moraine and my 19th year of coaching and officiating. I look for each player to get better at volleyball, love volleyball for the long haul, and learn about life. I do that through teaching aggressive volleyball through individualized coaching highlighting each player’s strengths and working on each player’s weaknesses through “games” concentrating on specific skills and game like scenarios to prepare them for the match with goals & consequences while also teaching the why behind each “game”.
I LOVE this game and hope to share that love with everyone I meet. When not coaching, you may find me officiating as I am a Junior National referee for USAV and PAVO certified so I referee all levels through college. When not on the court, I am spending time with my wife and children, all girls. I have two grandsons and a granddaughter from my oldest daughter and son and law. My youngest daughter is getting married in June 2025. I travel to visit them as they live in Eden Prairie, MN, Eau Claire, WI, and Anchorage, AK. I love working around the house so I usually have some project going on, just ask me. Installing heated ceramic floors, a screen porch, shelving throughout our basement and garage for organization, and a retaining wall are some of my most recent / favorites. I like to stay busy. I will rest when I am dead.

Starting my freshman year I led the team with the most kills, most digs & most aces. I also had multiple all tournament team nominations throughout my 4 year career. I have 3 kids and have enjoyed coaching their teams for the last 10 years at Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club and Kettle Moraine School District. Nikki Wilson - JV Head Coach
Nikki has played and/or coached volleyball at various levels since she was in 7th grade. She got involved in the Kettle Moraine volleyball program when her now 8th grade daughter was in the 5th grade. She currently coaches the KM 8th Grade Gold team and the KM JV2 Blue team. She truly enjoys teaching players the game in which she is so passionate about and watching them develop their skills to achieve their individual and team goals.
When she isn’t coaching and/or playing volleyball, she is a practicing attorney, specializing in intellectual property, and continues to remain active by running, weight training, yoga, and most importantly, watching her two children participate in their other sports, such as basketball, baseball, and track.

Jessica Gulig - JV2 Blue Head Coach
I am excited to join the KM coaching team! I look forward to helping athletes create love and passion for the game. I've played volleyball from 5th grade through high school, both school and club. I have played every position from a middle hitter to a defensive specialist to setter. Every season was a little different for me and I was able to mold my skills to help fill the hole and needs that we had on each team. These days I participate in sand volleyball leagues with friends. I am currently attending UW-Whitewater working towards my degree in English Education and minoring in Athletic Coaching.
Dylan Meyer - Summer Director / Tournament Director / Float Coach
In my 4th year coaching at Kettle Moraine as the JV1 Head Coach, Varsity assistant, and this year I am coaching the 8th grade gold team. I love coaching alongside the staff at KM as we have worked so hard to rebuild the culture into what it is now. As a coach I strive to help players stay passionate about the sport, as well as develop a love for the game. I have 7 years of organized volleyball playing experience as a setter/defensive player, and while I did not play in college, still play in leagues and tournaments throughout the years. I have spent the last 4 years coaching at MVP and Milwaukee Juniors Volleyball Club at the highschool age level coaching at both the 15s and 16s levels as well as working with all different ages as a positional coach.
