Shannon Klink- Varsity Head Coach
I attended St. Cloud State University, where I played D2 volleyball for 4 years and graduated with a Marketing degree. I coached at St Cloud for the 2017 -2018 season and also started coaching my first year of club with St. Cloud Soar. I moved back home in 2018 and started my first two seasons as the varsity assistant at Hartford High School where I helped start and direct for the youth Hartford Volleyball Club. In 2020, I took over as the Varsity Head Coach at Hartford where we had been named Conference Champs twice in three seasons. I've coached at a variety of clubs in the Greater Milwaukee Area and found my home at Milwaukee Juniors.
I'm super excited to be apart of this program and help develop current and future lasers!
Angela (Angie) Minor (Sobocinski) - Varsity Assistant Coach
I'm Angie Minor and I am looking forward to assisting the Kettle Moraine Varsity Volleyball team! I played volleyball at Division 1 University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Starting my freshman year I led the team with the most kills, most digs & most aces. I also had multiple all tournament team nominations throughout my 4 year career. I have 3 kids and have enjoyed coaching their teams for the last 10 years at Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club and Kettle Moraine School District. When coaching I believe in strong fundamentals and clear communication! I am very excited to join this coaching team and pass along my knowledge and expertise in a sport that I am extremely passionate about!
Karly Mutranowski - Varsity Assistant Coach
I am thrilled to join the Kettle Moraine coaching staff as a Varsity Assistant for the upcoming season. I arrive with a deep background in competitive volleyball, including five years of club coaching and previous experience as the Varsity Head Coach at Brookfield Central. I currently coach the 13-1s team for Milwaukee Juniors and have extensive experience developing athletes at both the middle and high school levels.
My coaching philosophy centers on elevating technical execution and mastering game strategy. I specialize in refining positional skills and implementing effective systems that translate to high-level play. I am dedicated to fostering a disciplined, competitive environment and look forward to contributing to a successful season for our athletes and the entire KM community.
Nikki Wilson - JV Head Coach
Nikki has played and/or coached volleyball at various levels since she was in 7th grade. She got involved in the Kettle Moraine volleyball program when her now 8th grade daughter was in the 5th grade. She currently coaches the KM 8th Grade Gold team and the KM JV2 Blue team. She truly enjoys teaching players the game in which she is so passionate about and watching them develop their skills to achieve their individual and team goals.
When she isn’t coaching and/or playing volleyball, she is a practicing attorney, specializing in intellectual property, and continues to remain active by running, weight training, yoga, and most importantly, watching her two children participate in their other sports, such as basketball, baseball, and track.
Maitlin Arts - JV2 Gold Head Coach
Maitlin played volleyball at Kettle Moraine before switching to a youth coaching role her senior year. After high school, she continued to be involved in the sport by playing intramurally at Ripon College. After finding her way back to KM teaching 7th grade Literacy and Social Studies, she became a 7th grade coach for the Junior Lasers and then joined the high school coaching staff as the JV2 Gold Head Coach the following year. She is excited to be starting her fourth year as the JV2 Gold Head Coach and to help the players grow both as athletes and as people!
Jessica Gulig - JV2 Blue Head Coach
I am excited to join the KM coaching team! I look forward to helping athletes create love and passion for the game. I've played volleyball from 5th grade through high school, both school and club. I have played every position from a middle hitter to a defensive specialist to setter. Every season was a little different for me and I was able to mold my skills to help fill the hole and needs that we had on each team. These days I participate in sand volleyball leagues with friends. I am currently attending UW-Whitewater working towards my degree in English Education and minoring in Athletic Coaching.
