This sectional is intended for K-12 teachers and individuals who serve students through the prereferral process (intervention) and those with disabilities. In this sectional, we will take information from the keynote presentation and apply it to serving exceptional learners. We will discuss how UDL can be used as the foundational knowledge that helps interventionists and special educators set goals, create specialized instruction, choose evidence-based practices to close gaps and facilitate progress, and emphasize student strengths and interests. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and apply what they learned as they brainstorm and plan learning experiences for a diverse group of learners.
