"Be clear about your goal, but be flexible about the process of achieving it." Brian Tracy
Research shows that if you give your teachers one professional development and then never
revisit that content again, you will have made little or no effect on learning. Yet, if you revisit this content multiple times throughout the year, you are making the biggest impact. In this session you will learn to help your team of teachers create their own realistic, individual goals to implement Universal Design for Learning, help them monitor those goals, provide necessary training and support and get them back on track when they start to slip. We will also brainstorm ideas of how to motivate teachers to implement UDL and how to celebrate successes. A classroom visitation/walkthrough template will also be shared and explained. Finally, we will discuss some accountability measures that can be used to ensure successful UDL implementation.
Who should attend? Principals, department heads, instructional coaches, new teacher mentors, etc.
