The duration of all three courses is two years, covering four semesters.

If vacancy arises, candidate from respective wait-listed subject merit list may be admitted in the order of merit; in case of non-availability of eligible candidate from subject merit list candidate from the composite merit list may be admitted in the order of merit.

Science / Engineering graduates (B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. in any discipline) with at least 50% marks from any recognized University or Institute are eligible to apply. However, for Data science, preference will be given to those who are having Mathematics as a subject in 10 + 2 standard; for Genome Science, preference will be given to the honors graduates in any life science-related courses / Chemistry / Physics; and for the Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, preference will be given to honors graduates in Physics/ Chemistry/ any branch of Life sciences / Mathematics/ Statistics.
All the eligible applicants will have to sit for an admission test. The medium of instructions and examination shall be in English. Admission test will be of two papers
Ø PAPER I (GENERAL STUDIES AND DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE) 50 Marks, 25 MCQ, 2 marks each.
Ø PAPER II (SUBJECT SPECIFIC ASSESSMENT) 50 Marks, 25 MCQ, 2 marks each.
The questions for PAPER I will be based on general aptitude, reasoning and Basic / H.S. level / B.Sc. general level, whereas for PAPER II, the questions will be technical, graduate level and specific to the subject, the candidate is applying for.
PAPER I is the QUALIFYING TEST. If qualified in PAPER I, PAPER II will be evaluated, and the merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in WRITTEN TEST (50) and PERSONAL INTERVIEW (50).
Candidates will be admitted according to the merit list prepared according to the admission test (50%) followed by Personal Interview (50%). If students from any of the above disciplines are not available, the seat(s) will be filled in accordance to the order of merit in the composite merit list prepared taking all the candidates of all the subjects as mentioned earlier. If a candidate fails to secure 45% in weighted average of the marks as stated above, he/she will not be eligible for admission. If any vacancy arises in the General category, the vacancy will be filled up either from the merit list of the concerned subject or from the composite merit list (if there is no available student of the concerned subject). The admission in the Reserved Category will be from the composite merit list of such candidates, irrespective of their Honors subject in B.Sc. Course as mentioned in the eligibility part.
Tuition fee for the students belonging to all reserved and unreserved categories from West Bengal Rs. 40,000/- for each semester.
Tuition fee for the students belonging to all reserved and unreserved categories from the states other than West Bengal Rs. 50,000/- for each semester.
Tuition fee for the students from the countries other than India 1500 USD.
