FIXIT YOUTH CUP 2026
The FIXIT JEUGDCUP is Belgium’s largest two-day youth volleyball tournament with overnight stay. The 13th edition takes place during the extended Ascension weekend, on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 May.
The tournament is aimed at U15 and U17 boys and girls. We welcome teams of all skill levels: beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Select teams and volleyball academies are also welcome. Minor deviations from the age limits can be discussed with the tournament organizers.
Categories, Age & Skill Level
Thursday 14 & Friday 15 May:
U15 girls & boys: born in 2011 or later
U17 girls & boys: born in 2009 or later
For U16 and U18 teams, an exception to the age categories is possible in consultation with the tournament management.
Skill levels:
beginner, intermediate, or advanced
Participants stay in various youth accommodations in the area (youth centers or hostels) that meet the standards set by Tourism Flanders. We offer a minimum of 350 sleeping places.
Teams can choose one or two overnight stays (especially useful for teams traveling from afar).
Some accommodations require participants to bring a sleeping bag and air mattress (or sleeping mat). Details will be provided to team leaders.
The organization provides 3 meals: a large barbecue at the end of day one, breakfast and a sandwich lunch on day two (drink included). Teams must provide their own lunch on day one.
Teams staying two nights will also receive breakfast and lunch on day one.
The sandwich lunch includes a generously filled sandwich that each participant can customize (various vegetables, ham, cheese, mayonnaise...). A drink is included. Orders are submitted per team via a special form received after registration. Special dietary needs (vegetarian, allergies...) can be indicated. Orders must be submitted at least two weeks before the tournament.
During matches, players can refill bottles at water stations in the sports hall. The tap water in the region is of excellent quality!
Big Barbecue: Around 7 PM on day one, we host a large barbecue on the field next to the Achterbroek sports hall (Fixit home base), Brasschaatsteenweg 35, Kalmthout. Each participant receives two pieces of meat of choice, plus a wide selection of vegetables, sauces, and bread. Drinks are available at the Fixit Café.
After the BBQ, there’s a social party in the Fixit clubhouse and sports hall, with entertainment and space to dance. The party ends no later than 11:30 PM. No alcohol will be served to anyone under 18.
Each team arranges its own transport between accommodation, sports hall, and barbecue location.
Distances are within a 15 km radius, with a maximum 20-minute drive.
Minibus rental options are available nearby—more info to follow.
For exceptional transport issues, contact the tournament organizers.
Determining skill level
If you're unsure which level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) suits your team, you can send us videos of a training or match. These help us place teams in the right group. We aim for a balance between positive experiences and challenge.
Matches
The tournament format varies per age category, depending on the number of teams and skill levels.
A tournament website will provide match schedules, scoring, results, and rankings. Info to follow!
Team leaders and volunteer referees must check in with the tournament coordinator on match day morning. Referees must be present even if their team doesn’t play first.
The tournament will take place in at least 4 sports halls in the municipalities of Kalmthout and Wuustwezel.
Which group plays in which hall will be communicated in advance.
Referees
The organization provides referees, but to ensure full coverage, each registered club must provide one referee.
We ask that this referee officiates 3 matches per tournament day.
Each referee provided receives a €30 discount on the registration fee. This discount will be deducted from the deposit after the tournament.
The referee should not also be the team coach.
The Cup!
Each group awards gold, silver, and bronze trophies.
Most Valuable Player (MVP): One MVP is chosen per age category and announced during the closing ceremony. MVPs are selected based on feedback from neutral observers appointed by the tournament leadership.
Team Leader: Each team must appoint at least one responsible adult (21+) to supervise the youth. This person is the main contact for the tournament staff.
Tournament Staff: Each sports hall has a tournament leader for match-related matters and a logistics coordinator for non-sport issues.
General Coordinators: Wouter De Boeck & Jan Peeters
