SAE ISS Aero Design Challenge 2022
All India Rank 1
All India Rank 1
As part of a ten-member team representing KLE Technological University at the SAE India Aero Design Challenge, I played a key role in designing and fabricating, Technical reports and Presentation of a fixed-wing RC aircraft for the national competition. Our innovative design and technical presentation secured the 1st overall rank (AIR #1), showcasing exceptional teamwork, creativity, and engineering precision.
All India Rank 2
At the SAE India Aero Design Challenge (ADDC) 2023, as a core member of the aeroKLE team, I played a pivotal role in designing and developing an innovative drone. My responsibilities included aerodynamic optimization, structural design, and fabrication, ensuring exceptional stability and performance. Our cutting-edge design and technical expertise earned us an impressive AIR #2, showcasing my skills in mechanical design, prototyping, and team collaboration.
All India Rank 4 [Best Autonomous Flight]
At SAE India Aerothon 2023, we secured AIR #4 for designing the Best Autonomous Drone. As the Mechanical Lead, I was responsible for ensuring the drone's stability and maneuverability, leveraging advanced tools like MATLAB for stabilization and Ansys Mechanical Workbench and Ansys Fluent for comprehensive simulation and analysis. The design was robust, optimized for performance, and showcased my expertise in mechanical design, aerodynamics, and simulation-driven engineering solutions.
All India Rank 2
At the Autonomous Drone Design Challenge (ADDC) 2024, our team aeroKLE achieved AIR #2 with a drone capable of delivering a fragile payload, achieving the closest drop of 0.36 meters. As the Team Lead, I managed the project, oversaw resources, and contributed technically by designing and optimizing the hub assembly using SolidWorks and conducting CFD analysis in Ansys to enhance performance.
All India Rank 3
At Aerothon 2024, organized by SAEINDIA, our team aeroKLE secured an impressive AIR #3 with our autonomous quadcopter, TRAKSHYA; designed for surveillance and disaster management. The drone excelled in autonomous field surveillance, hotspot detection, shape classification, and precise payload delivery.
As the Team Captain and Pilot, I led the team in achieving this milestone and ensured smooth execution of all project phases. I contributed technically by overseeing the aerodynamic design, thermal management, and simulation of TRAKSHYA. I also piloted the drone during the competition, where its exceptional performance underscored my skills in aerial maneuverability and engineering optimization.
This experience highlighted my expertise in leadership, design, and hands-on implementation of cutting-edge UAV systems, making it a proud achievement for me and the team.
