I’m Nishad Hooli, a final-year Mechanical Engineering student at KLE Technological University with a strong academic record (GPA: 8.61) and a deep passion for aerospace, sustainability, and mechanical system design. As the Team Captain of aeroKLE, I’ve led the design and development of UAVs and RC aircraft, achieving top national rankings in competitions such as SAE India Aerothon (AIR 3) and Aero Design Challenge (AIR 1 & 2). My recent internship at ISRO’s LEOS Division allowed me to work on a precision pneumatic system for aerospace-grade mirror testing, further sharpening my understanding of high-reliability engineering.
My technical strengths lie in CAD modeling, FEA, and design optimization, with hands-on expertise in tools like SolidWorks, NX-CAD, ANSYS, and MATLAB. I’ve extensively applied FEA with FMEA to validate designs under real-world loading conditions. Notable projects include a 3D-printed waste recycling machine, an electromagnetic payload gripper, and a published study on UAV landing strut optimization. With strong problem-solving skills, prototyping experience, and a keen focus on functionality and manufacturability, I’m driven to create engineering solutions that are not only innovative but practical and impactful in real-world applications.
