It involves a series of processes that begin with defining project goals and identifying stakeholders. During the planning phase, project managers develop detailed plans outlining timelines, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and budgets. This careful planning sets the foundation for successful execution, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
Agile:
Agile in project management is a flexible and iterative approach that focuses on delivering value to customers through continuous improvement and collaboration. Rather than following a rigid, linear process, Agile methodologies break projects into smaller, manageable units called iterations or sprints, typically lasting two to four weeks. This allows teams to develop and deliver functional components incrementally, enabling them to gather feedback and make adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.
Scrum:
Scrum is an Agile framework used in project management that provides a structured yet flexible approach to developing and delivering products. It emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and iterative progress through defined roles, events, and artifacts.
In Scrum, there are three main roles: the Product Owner, who defines the project vision and prioritizes the product backlog; the Scrum Master, who facilitates the process and helps remove obstacles; and the Development Team, which is responsible for delivering potentially shippable increments of the product. Scrum operates in time-boxed iterations called sprints, typically lasting two to four weeks, during which the team works to complete selected items from the product backlog.
Activites:-
1.PAPER PLANE ACTIVITY.
In this activity, teams were tasked with creating and flying paper planes under specific rules:
A team has to make as many as aero-plane and launch it for given distance.
The paper should be folded only once by each team member in a group (however the paper can be passed any number of times till aero plane is ready to launch)
Nose of the aero-plane should be folded.
Shortest person of a team should launch the plane.
Aero-plane should travel minimum distance of 4 meters.
Our team made 4 planes, and 1 of them successfully flew to the destination, while the other 3 came close. This activityhighlighted the importance of teamwork, as we had to communicate effectively, trust each other's skills, and coordinate our efforts to ensure smooth rotation and proper folding. The challenge of maintaining a 100% success ratio pushed us to collaborate more efficiently, enhancing our problem-solving and decision- making abilities under pressure. By working together, we were able to improve precision and adaptability, key elements of strong teamwork.
2. CAR BUILDING ACTIVITY.
A team has to make a car by using the provided stuff.
Materials: 14 sticks, 2 big circles and 6 small circles.
Time given was 20 minutes.
In this activity, our team was given 20 minutes to construct a car using only sticks and rings. Initially, we were unsure how to begin, but by collaborating and sharing ideas, we started making progress. First, we built the wheels and the base, then moved on to the chassis, and finally completed the top of the car. Adding a steering wheel as the final touch gave our creation a vintage car appearance, making the experience even more enjoyable.
This activity demonstrated the power of teamwork in overcoming initial confusion and gradually building towards a common goal. By dividing tasks, communicating effectively, and supporting one another's ideas, we were able to transform a pile of materials into a functional design. It also showed how creativity and problem-solving are amplified when everyone contributes, leading to a fun and rewarding outcome
Importance of team work:-
