Vistas ECHS Recruitment Plan for Spring 2023 for Cohort 3
(Class of 2027 - Incoming 9th Graders in August 2023)

• January 2023 - The application is open. Please contact your student's 8th grade school counselor to apply.

• January and February 2023 - There will be two informational meetings for parents and students to learn more:

  • January 31 and February 9 at Vistas from 6-7 PM in the cafeteria.

• March 9, 2023 - The application will close at 3:00 PM.

• March 23 and 28, 2023 - family interviews by appointment. Interviews are 30 minutes each. 

• late April 2023 to early May 2023 - Decisions will be made and Cohort 3 names will be announced.

• June 12-15 and 19-22, 2023 - Two-Week Required Summer Bridge Program at Vistas ECHS for students accepted into Cohort 3.

(Class of 2026 - Incoming 9th Graders in August 2022)

• January 5, 2022 - The application will open at 8:00 AM.

• February 10, 2022 - The application will close at 3:00 PM.

• January 2022 - There will be four possible informational meetings for parents and students to learn more:

  • January 12, January 18, January 24, and February 1st at Vistas from 6-7 PM

• February and March 2022 - In person prospective student/parent interviews at Vistas ECHS.

• April 2022 - Decisions will be made and Cohort 2 names will be announced.

• June 13-16 and 20-23, 2022 - Two-Week Required Summer Bridge Program at Vistas ECHS for students accepted into Cohort 2.

Vistas ECHS Recruitment Plan for Spring 2021 for Cohort 1 

(Class of 2025 - Incoming 9th Graders in August 2021)

• Week of January 25, 2021 -Presentation and information on upcoming application timeline given to intermediate counselors

• January 30, 2021 - Vistas ECHS presentation at Klein ISD Pathway Summit

• February 2021 - Vistas ECHS recruitment videos available on Klein ISD social media to discuss the application process

• February and March 2021 - In person prospective student/parent interviews at Vistas ECHS.

• March 12, 2021 - The full application (including current counselor, administrator and teacher sections) must be complete and returned prior to the March 12th deadline to be considered for an interview for Fall 2021. 

• Monday, April 12, 2021 - Incoming Cohort 1 students notified of acceptance and new student packet and requirements sent

• Friday, April 23, 2021 - 3:00 pm deadline for return of acceptance documents in new student packet to hold their spot for the Fall of 2021.

• June 14-17 and June 21-24 - Two-Week Required Bridge Program at Vistas for students accepted into Cohort 1.
