There are six orchestras that make up the Ulrich Orchestra Program, all taught by Ms. Marcelle Martin and Ms. Caroline Glasscock. A huge part of our success is due to the orchestra directors in the Klein Cain Cluster.

Marcelle Martin teaches orchestra in Klein ISD in Houston, Texas. She founded the orchestra program at Ulrich Intermediate School, which regularly earns top ratings at contests including the Ann Roberts Orchestra Festival and UIL, and receives regular invitations to compete in the Foundation for Music Education's Mark Of Excellence competition. The Ulrich orchestra has students chosen every year to perform with the Region 9 Orchestra Clinic and Convention. Ulrich students have gone on to perform with their high school orchestra as members of the TMEA Honor string orchestra.
She is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Orchestra Directors Association. She provides clinics and adjudication for schools across the Houston area and throughout Texas. She is an inaugural member of the Energy Corridor of Houston Orchestra. She attended the Eastern Music Festival for two years, and received the honor of being invited to play with the Austrian-American Mozart Academy in the Salzburg Summer Music Festival in Austria.
During summers, she has served as the cello coach and conductor at the Baylor University summer music camps, as well as provided coaching at local Houston camps such as the Cypress Creek F.A.C.E. summer strings.
She graduated from Magna Cum Laude from Baylor University and studied cello with Gary Hardie, bass with Sandor Ostlund, and strings education with Michael Alexander.
Ms. G is very excited to return to Ulrich to continue enriching students' lives with music! This upcoming year will be her third year at Ulrich and 4th year teaching overall. Previously to coming to Klein, she was the Assistant Orchestra Director at Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena ISD. Under her direction, she has led her Orchestras to achieve Superior ratings and Sweepstakes at UIL and Solo and Ensemble contests.
Ms. G attended Texas Tech University (Wreck 'em Tech!) where she studied Music Education under Dr. Blair Williams and Professor Jeffery Lastrapes and gained experience participating in the award winning TTU String Project. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and with Honors from Texas Tech in 2021.
During her free time, Ms. G enjoys reading, cooking, baking, playing video games, and playing with her cat, Miette!
