Prelude Orchestra is a non-audition group.
Prelude Orchestra is for students who may have little to no experience playing a string instrument learn the basics of string technique and performing.
Students choosing to play a string instrument for the first time can play the violin, viola, cello, or bass.
Students that participated in 5th grade strings in elementary school will also be in this group.
Students will solidify their techniques by the end of the year to have appropriate set up to enter Second + Third Year Ensembles.
Prelude Orchestra students will have opportunities to perform in concerts throughout the year, Solo and Ensemble, and participate in several social events!
Students in Prelude Orchestra will be able to take one-on-one private lessons for an additional fee with a professional on their instrument during class time or after school depending on availability!

Camerata Orchestra is for students who have advanced experience playing a string instrument. Here, they will continue to develop their technique.

Camerata Orchestra moves quickly and requires students to practice every day.
Camerata Orchestra students learn basic musicianship and small ensemble skills in a competitive setting.
