We have a fantastic staff of professional musicians that teach our students wanting to take private lessons.
For an extra weekly fee, students get one on one time with a professional musician teaching more in depth material and refining skills to help your student become the best musician they can be.
Private lessons are available for ALL Strack Orchestra students, regardless of level or instrument.
Any 7th and 8th graders in orchestra have an opportunity to join Strack Music Outreach Club (SMOC) at the beginning of the year.
SMOC is a club that rehearses one day after school each week in preparation for various events throughout the year including performances for others classes, at the Barbara Bush Library, nursing homes, various school events, and more!
This is an audition only group. Auditions will be held at the beginning of the year with more information to follow.
Any student in Symphony or Chamber Orchestra that want to represent their fellow orchestra members can run for Strack Orchestra Officers (O2).
The O2 help prepare for concerts, organize socials for each of the ensembles, make positive developments for all the orchestras, and represent the wants and needs of their classmates.
We have once a week meetings to prepare for the numerous orchestra events.
Being an orchestra officer in middle school helps prepare students for more student led committees in high school!
