The AP Calculus test is Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in the morning hours from approximately 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM.
I highly recommend taking the test. Here are some of my reasons:
It is the best practice of college-level tests a student can get in high school.
It can show you where you are mathematically and help inform college scheduling freshman year.
It can save you thousands of dollars compared to the equivalent college class.
If you can earn college credits now, do it. The future is unknown, and it is always wise to have available arrows in your quiver. What if you change majors? What if the only available calculus classes to the incoming freshmen registering last are known to to be the worst, the toughest professors-- of the only class available is 8AM across campus?
Each (on-time) AP exam costs $95. Fee reductions if applicable can reduce the cost of the test. Klein Oak has a process for granting waived AP exam fees based on previous AP test scores of 3 or higher-- it is a complicated process as to which AP test scores are allowed to waive which AP upcoming tests.
