The 2025 issue of Metanoia is now available!
Any current Klein Collins student can submit to Metanoia! The magazine is composed entirely of student-submitted work!
We accept a wide variety of prose such as short stories, novel excerpts, scripts, and monologues. We also accept all forms of poetry, including original song lyrics.
Artwork can be in any medium (acrylic, oil, sculpture, ceramics, knitwork, collage, digital, etc.)
If your artwork can not be scanned as a digital file- such as submitting a sculpture- simply submit a photo of the work with a neutral background (white, black, grey, etc.)
Your piece can be as short or long as you want it to be. However, if you are submitting a prose piece, we ask that you keep it under 2,500 words. For some people, that means you will have to submit an excerpt of a larger short story or novel. Certain competitions also have specified word counts.
You can use the Google Form linked at the bottom of the Submissions page. Please read the submission requirements before submitting.
This year the magazine will be published as an e-magazine on this website and in Schoology. We expect the magazine to be ready by May 7th.
Yes, you can make as many submissions as you'd like in any of the categories. However, only two pieces from any individual creator can be featured in the magazine.
