College Career Military Readiness
What does it mean to be College, Career, or Military ready?
College Ready: Graduates will be ready to enroll and prepared for success for post-secondary coursework.
Career Ready: Graduates have the essential skills to find, acquire, maintain, and grow within a career. They can also enroll in additional postsecondary training without the need for remediation.
Military Ready: Graduates have committed to enlistment with the United States military.
How can students earn “CCMR ready” status?
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has defined a set of indicators that students can earn to be considered college, career or military ready. Students who meet one of these CCMR indicators are considered "CCMR-met."
TEA’s CCMR readiness indicators include:
⬜ Dual Credit: Student completed at least one English or one Math Dual Credit Course, or completed a minimum of three Dual Credit courses (total 9 hours) in other subjects (with the exception of PE).
⬜ OnRamps Course: Student completed an OnRamps dual enrollment course and qualified for at least three hours of university or college credit in any subject area.
⬜ AP or IB Exams: Student scored a 3 or higher on an AP Exam or a 4 or higher on an IB Exam.
⬜ CTE Industry Based Certification: Student completed at least one CTE Industry Based Certifications, plus an aligned level two CTE course, as outlined by the TEA Accountability System.
⬜ Graduate with Completed Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Workforce Readiness. A graduate receiving a graduation type code that indicates the student has completed his/her IEP and has either demonstrated self-employment with self-help skills to maintain employment or has demonstrated mastery of specific employability and self-help skills that do not require public school services.
⬜ Graduate Under an Advanced Diploma Plan and be Identified as a Current Special Education Student. A graduate who is identified as receiving special education services during the year of graduation and whose graduation plan type is identified as a Recommended High School Plan (RHSP, Distinguished Achievement Plan (DAP), Foundation High School Plan with an Endorsement (FHSP-E), or Foundation High School Plan with a Distinguished Level of Achievement (FHSP-DLA).
⬜ Student submits eligible college readiness scores on The Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) in Both TSI Reading/ELA and TSI Math , SAT or ACT.
⬜ Texas College Bridge Program: Student enrolled at HS and successfully completed program in ELA and Math. This program is a hybrid online/face to face with a HS teacher.
⬜College Transition/Prep Course: Student completed and passed the ELA and Math course in senior year.
