What is dual credit?
How can I join the dual credit program?
1.Apply for Admission to Lone Star College-University Park at https://goapplytexas.org/ . You should receive an acceptance letter in about 2 to 3 days after submission. See attachment in email for assistance with application.
2. Review placement score requirements for dual credit students. Students with qualifying PSAT scores will be exempt from TSI testing. PSAT scores from 10th grade/ 11th grade of 460 or higher is required on Reading and Writing. You will only be required to submit math scores of 510 or higher if you plan to take College Algebra, Biology, or Economics. If not, you can qualify for all other courses offered on campus without the qualifying math score.
*** If you have qualifying PSAT scores for dual credit enrollment skip to step 5.
3. Complete pre-assessment activity on your mylonestar account.
4. Sign up for testing at Klein Oak/ request testing at LSC https://forms.gle/rZ9BKctXmGyhKECe6 .
5. Pick up Fall Packet from Mrs. Rehr in counseling office.
6. Submit your official PSAT report with your Lonestar college number written at the top of the page along with the blue registration form to Mrs. Law in the counseling office no later than May 2nd. TSI testers may request an extension of this deadline if retesting is needed.
7. Submit payment for dual credit classes on your mylonestar account in June
