Curious if a digital resource is down just for you or if others are experiencing the same issue? Here's a pro tip: bookmark Klein ISD's System Status Page so you can quickly check and see if it's a local glitch on your end or a widespread outage affecting multiple users. You can also subscribe to updates there, but keep in mind that'll add more emails to your inbox!
Just a friendly reminder that our Edpuzzle subscription is now active (link is on Dashboard)! Edpuzzle transforms videos, readings, quizzes, and slides into interactive lessons, giving you real-time insights into student understanding and helping you identify where your class needs support. 🧩NEW🧩➡️ When you assign a lesson, you can now block copy and paste for students! Students have to type their own answers to open response questions instead of pasting one in from Google so you get accurate data and know the thinking is theirs. Many of you have asked what resource we now have to use to check whether students can access a website. This year, Klein has introduced Lightspeed AccessScan, a browser extension that lets you quickly determine if a website or web-based instructional resource is accessible to students based on their assigned Lightspeed Filter policy. AccessScan is particularly useful when a resource works fine for you as a teacher or staff member but mysteriously blocks for students. Please check out this link that contains a handout and video on how to access and utilize this new resource.

Edpuzzle is fully activated and ready for use! We are currently awaiting activation of Wayground and ClassKick licenses. In the interim, free versions of both platforms remain available through the Dashboard.
Please remember that when you share documents with anyone in Klein ISD, students are able to access them. This is not recommended for documents containing student personally identifiable information (PII). Please reference the graphic below that depicts how to share your Google files. ⬇️

If you need to install any apps or software, please access the Company Portal, which is an app already installed on your computer. The district has migrated everything over from the old Software Center so you'll now find everything you need in one convenient place!

The Google Resource App and Assignments have changed in Schoology. To see the latest updates, please check out this resource!
If you prefer your Schoology Course Folder setup to be by the week instead of daily folders, you may copy the folder structure you want in the Curriculum Container in Schoology. If you are not familiar with this process, here are directions and a direct link to the Curriculum Container where that folder structure is located.
