The Tiger Pride Award is the highest honor given to a Klein Collins Cheerleader.
This award is given to our athletes who are well respected by their teachers, coaches, administrators, and their peers and have served our cheer team with integrity, humility, and selflessness. They are respectful of our coaching staff, and other athletes on our team, and have truly embodied what a modest attitude looks like. They are each extremely responsible individuals and face adversity maturely and thoughtfully. Their cheer skills are all phenomenal, but it is not the basis of this award.
Each of these young ladies displays all that Klein Collins Cheer is and what we will always strive to be.
They exemplify every pillar of the Klein Collins Tiger PAWS- Positive Attitude, Accept Responsibility, Work Hard, and Show Respect, and have represented our school, our program, and our coaches in a positive way.
We have gotten to know each of them and we are proud of how they consistently act with humility and kindness to others.
They treat each of their teammates and coaches with the utmost respect. They take ownership of their mistakes and correct them without hesitation and have shown that they are willing to try again and again to make their team better. They take constructive criticism as a tool to improve their skills, not as a way to shame them.
When making squad decisions, they understand and respect decisions made by coaches and they ALWAYS support us without hesitation or argumentation. These individuals have a team attitude in which they think “we, not me” and are willing to forgo what they want to do for the betterment of the team. They never complain about being in the back row, not in the dance formation they want, not doing a stunting position they prefer, etc. Instead, they always do what is needed for their team to succeed. They have displayed trust in their coaches, earned the trust of their teammates, and have shown that they are 110% committed to making their team better. They are dedicated to our program by all the time, and effort they have given and by making KC Cheer a priority after academics. They work with their teammates and encourage positivity within them. They are remarkable individuals and we are honored to have watched them grow in character, empathy, and leadership.
The standards and expectations for Klein Collins Cheer are high and the behavior expected of a Klein Collins cheerleader is of utmost importance. By presenting this award, we hope that it will pave the way for future Klein Collins Cheerleaders to make their mark as leaders in our school and community.
